Got my new wheels and tires installed today! They're OZ Ultraleggeras, 18x8 +48, with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, 245/35R18. Love them so far.

a 245 on a 8 inch wheel? I am getting 17x9s and plan on 245/40 which I thought would be perfect(until 255s can fit). Either way, they look excellent!

Yup, they're definitely wide, haha. 245 was the max recommended width for this wheel. The difference in grip from the stock 215 tires is immense.

Looks great! I dream of a grip-oriented FR-S some day so this is fantasy fuel.

The width is not the inportant part but the compound. I'm sure you went from the hard, low rolling resistance summer touring tires to super soft, max or extreme summer tires. That change in compound makes the biggest difference. Compare treadwear ratings and you will see.

...Hey! Is that SpaceX in Hawthorne?

It's the Tesla Factory in Fremont.

I'm looking into wrapping some 18" RPF1s in some 245x40R18 Pilot Super Sports sometime this winter. Because I can. Because Southern California.

Nice. But needs MOAR GOLD!

I was seriously considering gold. This is another BRZ owner on FT86CLUB:

Classic combo... but clearly personal preference. I'm just honestly not big on black wheels (especially on a darker-colored car).
Yours looks mean, though. Purposeful. Ready for some track work.
